Ruth Arnold, MPA, CEO of Colorado Recovery, comes to Colorado Recovery with many years of experience in the mental health public sector, having worked most of her career for a large community mental health center in Boulder CO. This included many years under the mentorship of Dr. Richard Warner, the founder of Colorado Recovery. Ruth has a BA in Psychology from Bennington College in Vermont, as well as a Masters in Public Administration with a Non-Profit Management Specialty from the University of Colorado, Denver. Ruth has a passion for working with adults with serious mental illness, as well as experience in establishing social enterprises (for employing people with mental illness in meaningful jobs) and a certified Clubhouse program. She was a founding Board member for the Center for People with Disabilities and is a firm believer in the independent living movement and consumer-controlled services.
